Sensitivity Review Edits + Updates

Hello Golden Backers,

Thank you all for your patience. It has been a busy month both doing the project and personally.

Project Updates

This week, Carly and I made revisions to the Employee Manual based on feedback from sensitivity readers. We greatly appreciate the work of our sensitivity readers, Samantha Mayne and Seb Pines. In addition to some changes throughout the book, our readers also recommended good content notes to outline for our pre-written campaigns.

Our sensitivity readers also pointed out the need for one campaign to be further reviewed for indigenous sensitivity, so we will be doing one more sensitivity review for one campaign. We do not expect this to be a hiccup on the timeline, and still plan to ship in September. 

On that note, if you anticipate needing a change of address, please email me and I'm happy to help you figure that out. I believe you are still able to update your address via BackerKit.

Personal Life Updates

I (Mike) got married on July 9! It was a wonderful, intimate ceremony with close family and friends.   

I hope you all are doing well!

Thank you again for all of your support on this project! Carly and I are super stoked to have the end in sight and get this product out to all of you! We hope you have your M&Ms ready!

Hello Golden Backers!

Carly and I are very excited to announce that we have laid out the entire Employee Manual, and we have sent it to our sensitivity readers for review! We expect to have notes back from our readers by the end of June!

We also want to introduce one of our writers, Jess Elizabeth Reed.

Jess is a writer and game designer based in Chicago, where she is completing her MFA in Game Design. She values games where narrative and mechanics intertwine and is exploring this relationship in her in-progress game project, Out of Water. She also writes speculative fiction, poetry, and media essays and criticism.

We hope you all are doing well, and we are excited to almost be at the point where we can send the project to printing!

Hello Golden Backers,

We are starting to receive a lot of the add-ons as we continue reviewing, formatting, and prepping the Employee manual to send out for sensitivity reading and copy editing.

I'm super stoked to share a picture of the laminated maps with you! We also have all of our pins and stickers in from manufacturers! 

I want to send a special thanks to Anabelle Watson, our production assistant who laminated the maps in a timely manner with a keen eye for quality control!

Everything is really weird right now, so we hope that you all have a little bit of happy going on right now.

I'm ecstatic to announce that pins and stickers have been ordered! We got some amazing artwork from early career designers, and we were able to pay them for this portfolio-developing opportunity thanks to your support!

We are also formatting campaigns as we receive updates from our writers.

Looking forward to showing off the cool stuff as it comes in!
